| Over 200,000 Voters Registered In Addis AbabaMore than 200,000 voters have so far been registered in Addis Ababa City to cast their votes in the forthcoming national elections, the National Electoral Board of Ethiopia said on Tuesday. It also said political parties have delegated 77 candidates who have already been registered. The Addis Ababa Branch of the Board told ENA that the stated number of voters have been registered in the last 10 days. Branch Coordinator, Desta Haile-michael said the number of voters being registered has been increasing from time to time. There are 1.3 million eligible voters in the city, according to the NEBE. Meanwhile, eight political parties who will compete for seats in the federal parliament have delegated their respective delegates who have already been registered. The All Ethiopian Democratic Party, Forum, the Coalition for Unity and Democracy, the Ethiopian Peace and Democratic Party have delegated 13,19,21 and 5 candidates respectively. The Oromo National Congress, the Ethiopian Justice and Democratic Forces Front, the Ethiopian National Unity Party, the All Ethiopian National Movement have delegated on their part 3,3, 3 and 10 candidates respectively.
